Pacific West values the trust and confidence our clients and representatives have placed in us and we recognize the importance of communicating our Recovery Plan to you in the event that we experience a significant business disruption. We have written a Business Continuity Plan that outlines how we will respond in the event of a major disruption that affects our business. The following is a summary of that plan.
By their very nature, business disruptions (power outages, earthquakes, snow storms and other events) are unpredictable and our plan is designed to respond to varying levels of disruption. Our Recovery Plan addresses data backup and recovery, all mission critical systems; alternative methods of communication with our representatives, customers and employees and outlines our plans to relocate our operations to an alternate location in the event of a disruption.
How to Contact Your Representative or the Pacific West Home Office
In the normal course of business, you would contact Pacific West by calling your representative at his or her office location. In the event that your representative is unavailable or is experiencing a business disruption, you should call the Pacific West home office in Renton, WA at (425) 271-3550. In the event of a major business disruption which prevents you from contacting your representative or the Pacific West home office, you should visit our website at: www.pwfinancial.com where we will post an alert regarding the status of our operations and instructions on how to access your account(s).
Pacific West is not an account custodian and our firm does NOT hold customer funds or securities. If you are unable to contact your representative or the Pacific West home office, we recommend you contact the clearing firm where your securities account is currently held. They will provide you with instructions on how to access your funds or securities, enter buy and sell orders, or process other requests related to your account.

If your account is held directly with a mutual fund, variable product, real estate product or other direct participation program, we recommend you contact the sponsor directly using the phone number that is provided on your account statement.
Our Recovery Plan
In the event of a disruption that affects an area smaller than our business district, such as our street, building, or suite, Pacific West is prepared to recover and be ready to serve clients within 24 to 48 hours. Duplicates of all data essential to client accounts can be found at our office, with each client’s representative, and each client’s respective clearing firm.
In the event that the disruption covers an area larger than our business district such as city-wide, regional, or state-wide, Pacific West plans to resume business as quickly as possible, but cannot state a recovery time as it would depend on availability of external resources and circumstances beyond our control. Our Business Continuity Plan is subject to change. Updated summaries can be viewed on our website and are available upon request from our Home Office. There are any number of events which can contribute to a significant business disruption that will vary in size, scope and severity, all of which are beyond the control of Pacific West. Based on this fact, Pacific West’s Business Continuity Plan is not intended to be a guarantee or warranty of firm processes or procedures, our technological systems, hardware, software, employees or facilities in the event that we experience a major business disruption.
